Fred & Rose had a beautiful home wedding on Saturday and I had the privilege of designing and creating a cake for their big day!
When it comes to purchasing flowers for cakes I always have the option to go to a florist (who will also prep the flowers for the cake for me) or I can go to the flower markets and do it myself. I'm lucky enough to be just around the corner from the Sydney Flower Markets so if my schedule allows it - I'll take that option!
In the midst of the hustle and bustle of that busy market place I managed to take a couple of snaps. Looking back through my photos I found these Ranunculus - definitely a new favourite flower!
This cake is 3 layers of delicious white chocolate mud cake with white vanilla buttercream. I topped the cake with fresh flowers from the market; a variety of pink roses and baby's breath.
I wanted the big gold names to be the centre of attention on this cake so I kept it simple and sweet.
